The Age of Spiritual Machines is a somewhat fanciful but fascinating treatise on the potential effects of a continuance of Moore's Law through the present century.  Our hardcore skepticism prevents us from fully embracing these ideas, but there is some very compelling reasoning here.  A very important book.
Nanotechnology is a survey book which chronicles the current day science and industry of nano, and the possible future innovations and societal impact thereof.
Engines of Creation is the original nanotech work which caused such a stir when scientific outcast Eric Drexler first published it in 1986.  Drexler's work continues to provoke controversy, while many of his basic assumptions are being widely adopted.
   Extreme Programming Explained is Kent Beck's introduction to the principles and practices of XP, which we've adopted as our initial development bible.  XP looks like a great codification of many revelations which we individually learned the hard way.
cover Becoming a Technical Leader is one of Gerry Weinberg's simplest and most useful books.  Jerry is a long time guru of John Rae-Grant's, much of John's management philosophy and methodology is derived from his work.   Visit Jerry's site
